
1911 — It all began in Rockaway Beach, Oregon in the spring of 1911.
Alma Alsleben, age 17, along with her two sisters, Maymie and Ida, each bought a "tent" lot across from the lake. Alma later bought out her sisters and established the beach lot. At Alma's death, title passed to her two sons, Leonard and Howard.
